We’ve been around for a while now. Time to introduce the people behind SellAnApp. We will be introducing the team on a rolling basis. Let’s start of with Aernoud Dekker, founder and executive director of SellanApp.
Aernoud started his career whilst studying computer sciences, as Founder of ‘Unix Support Nederland’ and later as Founding Partner at the first commercial internet provider in the Netherlands; Internet Exchange Europe. He continued his career as entrepreneur active in enterprises focussed on retail, ICT and financial services. He’s been on the forefront of innovative ISP, Online, Financial and Retail businesses for over 20 years.
SellanApp is his latest project. Here’s Aernoud about his passion for bringing ideas and technology together: “For me there a two kinds of people. People who know how to get from A to B and people who know where A and B are. Bring them together and great things will happen. SellanApp is about that. Bringing people with great app ideas together with people with skills and money to turn app dreams into app store reality. My role is to make SellanApp a reality. As first founder the idea for SellanApp came into my mind after I found out how many people have really cool ideas for apps. It would be a pity if these idea would never see day of light due to lack of access to resources like knowledge or money to make their idea reality.
In these days where crowd-sourcing and crowd-funding really gain traction in the online world, we have the opportunity to work together realizing cool apps which are rapidly becoming the new currency on the internet. Already there are more apps downloaded than songs. There are hundreds of thousands of apps, but there are even more people and business who have cool things and bright ideas to share. We are only scratching the surface now. Most apps haven’t been build yet!”
