Blog post about a blog post

There is this whole fast tech revolution rolling through and they know all about it. The Next Web is the international blog about technology news, business and culture. We at SellanApp know because we read the blog almost daily, in particular their Apps section. We recently stumbled upon their best article yet. Take a look.

The road to this article was a smooth one, the timing of the article is a whole other story. Nancy Messieh (Apps editor at TNW) managed to interview Milan from Cairo during an one hour Skype call and wrote this great article. She was spot on in describing what the SellanApp concept is all about and especially in describing our philosophy.

We received a notification of us being featured on October the sixth. We know what you are thinking… the day former Apple CEO Steve Jobs died and the whole world was talking about the loss of an icon. So we held our breath and hoped that we would still get some feedback on the article.

And we did! Twitter exploded, retweets and positive reactions all over the place! We were busy for three days handling our social media, emails and subscriptions. Three days well spent. We would like to thank The Next Web and in particular Nancy Messieh for the effort and exposure.

Get to know Milan!

Second round! You all got to know Aernoud Dekker. Now it’s time to meet his companion Milan van den Bovenkamp. He’s an young entrepreneur with a nose for new technologies and a fascination for online and offline communities.

Milan already has left his mark in the entrepreneurial scene in Amsterdam. He worked for TEDxAmsterdam where he initiated the Ideas Worth Doing challenge and is the initiator of Lev Kaupas . Lev Kaupas is a home for ambitious, talented entrepreneurs, initiators, founder and believers. Lev Kaupas helps them to kick start their idea in a great co-working space. Milan is now diving in the new adventure called SellanApp. Here’s what drives him to make this new start-up a success:

“We live in a digital, social and connected world. It’s a great challenge to keep up with all the people around me. I like to know what drives them. A lot of people in my surroundings have great ideas, but they don’t always see the rich resources in their direct network. My personal challenge is to bring talented people together. People with great ideas, nifty skills or useful funds. I strive to systematically and creatively combine ideas, skills, energy, knowledge, support, money and feedback.

I believe every person can be helpful and valuable. With SellanApp I want to encourage them. I’m sure everybody has a great app idea to contribute to our society. We are now building a platform to bring your ideas to life.

I really like to download valuable applications, because they enrich my life. I think everybody should have the chance to start and accomplish his idea for a mobile application. We just have to help each other. We strive to make every contribution to an idea valuable and appreciated.

Ideas, knowledge, experiences, connections of people should be shared to bring people further! Be sure to help each other! :)”
